We had a slight “incident” this morning…………
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and slight incident (not so much) lovers. Whatever….
Anyway, I know how much Emma loves her routine. I follow the same path every morning for her comfort. Oh, don’t get me wrong, if I loaded her in the car for a morning ride to the park for a walk she would not complain one bit.
So, this morning I start off as usual. First off I turn off the fan. We love our fan. I keep it tucked in the corner so it is out of Emma’s way and she has never had a problem with it.
Well this morning, after I turned off the fan, I headed for the kitchen for their breakfast appetizer when I heard, “CLANG, CLANG “. Emma had bumped into the fan?????????? The only thing I can figure is that the carpet pathway she has been walking on was out of place and closer to the fan. Totally my fault. It scared the furry pants off of her and she went stumbling to her bed. I know, I know, try not to make a big deal out of it. Well, that’s not really my style. But try as I may, I run to her side.
So, get this. All day long, since the dreaded incident, this is what she has been doing.
Barking at the fan. She is so mad……….
Just look at her! She is looking right at that darn fan and she is giving it all kinds of pieces of her mind.
Oh Emma………Mamma move that bad fan.
More updates on the bad fan later……..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
So now, “We hate our fan”. Poor Emma. She has every right to bark at that thing that was in her way! Besides, what happened to the royal schlepp boys that are supposed to be carrying her hither and yon! Goodness gracious. HOUND ABUSE!
You tell that bad fan and your mom what you think about it!
I agree with Our Emma, it was definitely the fan’s fault.
It was probably in Our Emma’s way, and let me say that anything Our Emma is not comfortable with is definitely in her way or and unwelcomed intruder. Our Emma has taken great pains, time and trouble to establish her comfort zone in Basset Hound Town. The fan is on probation and should watch its step, and keep to its job of cooling/comforting Our Emma.
Cindy, she is so funny. She loves for me to come and see what the problem is as well. Sometimes she does not even need to bump into something. It will be like a napkin or towel on the floor and buddy boy, I better come pick it up. You can imagine if I leave a stray shoe????????
She goes wild. That girl is so vigilant.
Cat
Cat,
This is Our Emma’s subtle way of helping you with your housework.
That is amazing Cat. I’m sure her being blind has enhanced that sense and that’s so very cool. And besides, somebody has to keep you on your toes! Geesh…napkins and towels and shoes left a stray? Unheard of.
Poor Emma….bumping into the fan. I’m glad Mama was close by to rescue her. I went to my Moms today to see Richard. He was tugging at his eye with the cataracts and rubbing his eye on the wall, floor etc, I think we need to take him to the Animal Eye Clinic to see what is going on. I’ll keep you posted. You know anything with the eyes now, makes us all uneasy.
Why, that fan had a lot of nerve jumping in her way – no wonder she’s spending her time throwing it dirty looks. She is a riot!
Poor Emma that fan deserves all that barking from you it should have never jumped out in front of you
time to hire new royal schlepp boys….those guys are not doing their duties…good ones would most certainly carried her royal heiny-ness around the nasty fan!!!
