Life is just a walk in the park!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Walk in the Park Lovers: Life was sure a walk in the park for us yesterday. We took our Sunday stroll in what Grandma calls, “perfect dog weather”. Chaps was so excited he could barely contain his joy as he sunk into a fresh patch of grass. Look, he is smiling!
He would just rub, flap, rub, flap and then he would look up and me and say, “thank you Mommy”!
Oh sweethearts, you are so welcome.
Emma was in perfect form and lead our pack the entire way. She NEVER missed a turn or a step. She was so cute. I bet we are quite a sight as a group being lead by a blind dog!
A great time was had by all.
Life is just a walk in the park. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Sundays!
More park walks later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
I had to LOL about the part where you said “I bet we are quite a sight as a group being lead by a blind dog!” Emmas not blind anyway. She sees with her ears and her nose. She knew exactly where she was and where she was going. Probably more so than the sighted group behind her! You go Emma!
Cindy – you got that right! Emma was only one that was focused! She kept all of us in line! She is just amazing.
Cat
what glorious pictures! Looks like you had the same kind of day that we had at our house. Perfect dog and kid weather. Today’s even nicer here (bit warmer). Love the pictures from your walk … just perfect.
Great pictures, Cat! When the weather is particularly lovely I call it a “houndie day.” To paraphrase The Little Prince–Emma may be blind, but she looks with her heart!:)

How is Our Emma’s recovery coming along?
I think the Mayor and Our Emma must be a local institution in Fort Thomas.
