    Cat,
Thanks for showing this. Being a sheltie person also, I loved the way the lamb acted toward the Basset. That would never happen with a herding dog, the dogs just know they need to herd the sheep.
With the Basset it is just minding its own business, sniffing, running, meeting a new friend. I loved it! They both had fun being around each other.
By the way, the one dog has a German name, not French, all the others appear to be French names.

    Thanks, Mary

Great video! I’ll have to remind our Monty that sacking out on the couches is not his only calling!

    Thanks!

Great video. It reminds me of my Aggie. Given that there’s be so much criticism of bassets in Europe this year, complaining they can barely walk, this shows just how fit for purpose a basset can be. And he’s a big lad.

We enjoyed the video very much (Hannah was adding dialogue as it went along, things like “oh hello sheep …. oh, hello basset hound …. let’s play!). The heads on those hounds looked more like St. Bernards!

Jon – I totally agree with you. Did you see that hound hop like a goat? It was so cute. It shows how smart they are as well. I love this video. I was wondering if starting off your video with a benign piece of music and then adding the piece you want keeps YouTube from deleting your audio? I am going to try that.

    Regardless, I love this video.

Mary – That is such a good point. I bet the lambs were confused that the hound was not herding them. They really seemed to like playing with a hound. Especially the baby! Fun in France!

Great video, it so enjoyable to watch Bassets run and play. I wonder if any of the animals thought each other looked odd.

    What a beutiful serene video.
