Do you love flowers more in the beginning than in the end?
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and planting flowers lovers: I don’t know what is wrong with me (read on) I love flowers at this time of the year! The buying, the planting, the beauty! I just cannot get enough. Today Grandma and I planted the back porch area and it is just beautiful. These are the same pots that Verna built her nest in. I was watering them and thought it looked so pretty!
Here is my artsy shot with the sun shining through the water! Here is another one.
It was so much fun, until Chaps thought it was raining and the entire moment took a turn for the worse.
Anyway, I hate to admit it, but I will, I start resenting all of my flowers if the rain does not help me out. It’s like, “Who is going to water the flowers, I did it last night you do it tonight Oh, I can’t do it tonight will you do it?……..Blah, blah, blah!”
I sound so bitter! So, you know what? I am going to turn a new leaf! No complaining about watering! I started off on a good note. Then, I came inside and saw Emma! What is she doing? It is almost summer dear girl!
Herz needs to help Mommy water! Let’s not get all bored too soon!
More fighting over who will water later………Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
emms reminds me of buster…damn fool boy has to sleep under the blankies all year round! burrows under them in august! has to have his stupid winter fleece coat on at the park from november thru like april or he sits and pouts! he should have been adopted by a nice couple in florida or something or arizona…not jersey!…altho he does love a good veggie garden…the boy needs his maters & peppers!
last week he stole a mango off the counter and ate it…i had to trade him a tomato for the mango pit…fool dog! and then he stole an extra tomato just because he could. tonight it was a loaf of wheat bread.

i’ll send you some pix…of buster in his coat, cooper hiding in the foliage & hunting, buster snacking on a tomato & the boy sleeping
I must have hot blooded bassets, because they hate being under the blankets! Now, my 9 year old doxie is always under the blankets.
Emma, you look so comfy and cute!
I don’t plant flowers. I have trouble keeping dandelions alive!!
I envy you your yard. In so many ways I wish I had purchased a house with a yard. I love to garden. When it comes to flowers, I especially love lilacs, peonies, and roses. I also like to grow vegetables, and pick things right off the vine and eat them.
