I wanted to show off my new umbrella!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and new Umbrella Lovers: I know that sounds weird but it really adds a lot to a small space. Many of you who read my blog know all about the “Ladies Room”. My Dad coined the term when we set it up for Lily. She got too old to go down the back steps to the backyard potty area. Actually, my Dad designed the Ladies Room. It went from old lady potty area to young pup potty area. I cannot tell you how this spot came in handy for Emma. From puppy potty training, to a young blind hound having a safe and familiar place to do her business. I cannot tell you how often I praised this area when Emma had her back surgery. She stayed right inside the room that this leads out to the ladies room.
I just love this little area. It has saved my life!
I have a spicket with hot water for a nice clean up, summer and winter. I said it before and I will say it again. I live in a dog house. Everything is for the hounds!
So, I let Emma out to take a picture of the new umbrella and what does she do? Hey, it’s the ladies room! LOL
Chaps used to refuse to go out in the ladies room. Now he is OK with it. I think I got him used to it over the winter. That is a sliding glass door that they can step right out in all kinds of weather. OK – who am I kidding? The umbrella is for them. Hounds don’t want to get wet or snowed on!
More doing for the hounds later…….Gotta love it! Cat, Chaps and Emma
I don’t think you can call this the “ladies room” any more since Chaps uses it. The unisex room doesn’t sound quite as pleasant. Maybe some of the other members of Basset Hound Town can make some suggestions.
How about the Precocious Privy!
You are so right. Everything for the hounds. What a pretty umbrella and a lovely spot to do their business.
Hugs,
Kip, Gus, Bonnie and Charlie Bear
What a lovely place to be a basset hound!
Poor Nell could have used your umbrella yesterday. Something about her Sussex fur that she just absorbs water like a sponge when it’s raining. She’s afraid of towels too, so it’s hard to make her comfortable.
