I’d love to come, but it’s a bit too far for us.

I am taking a few days off around the holiday to enjoy the summer. I have two good murder mysteries to read.

Paul is such a lucky boy! He looks so happy!

Well, 4th of July will be ok for us I guess. Ronald and his brother will be working on a used car that my brother in law bought. Fun, fun! Then I’m going to cook some fajitas on the grill and make some scrumptious chocolate dessert. I sure hope that we don’t have any fireworks. Rugby doesn’t like them and Harriet barks at them. Jethro and Oz sleep thru it all.

We will be watching the local parade and enjoying a free hotdog cookout at the park. Later we’ll go back in for a free concert and fireworks. Fortunately, our dogs don’t care about such things, because folks around here have been shooting off firecrackers and fireworks since about Memorial Day (and they usually start about midnight).
