What is cuter than a hound in a hoodie? Not much!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Hounds in Hoodies Lovers! I don’t think I have ever seen a hound in a hoodie but this picture sure made my Monday much better! This is Jackson!
His Mommy, Cheyney and Daddy, Carlos love himz soooooo much. Jackson, aka JAX is also related to Chaps and Emma! Jackson’s Mommy’s Daddy is Emma’s Daddy and Jackson’s Mommy’s Mommy is Chaps Sister. LOL – Wow, you can really see Chaps in Jackson. I wish I could kiss that face!
More relatives later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Two hounds in a hoodie would be cuter than one … wouldn’t they? 😉
Jax has quite a lineage, no wonder he is so good-looking.
ROFLOL! That is so funny! I just pictured Chaps and Emma in Hoodies – or Nell and Sophie!
hehe
Cat
So, Jackson is Emma’s nephew.
And Jackson is Chaps’ great nephew. How confusing! Jackson definitely looks like he came from that bloodline. He looks a lot like Chaps. And that also makes Chaps Emma’s Uncle? Unless Emma’s sister didn’t have the same Mom as Emma. Ha! I’ve just royally confused myself now! I jotted down this little family tree thing that I’m trying to use to help figure this out.
Cindy – that is so funny! I even asked the breeder how Chaps was related to Emma and they could not figure it out. When people ask me if they are related I tell them that Chaps is Emma’s great Uncle. I don’t know why I tell them that. I know they had the same family members on one or the other side.
How could Emma’s sister not have the same Mother? Did you mean Chaps sister? Now I am really cornfused!
Cat
He is too cute!!!
Cat – Nell would never forgive me. That would be like putting Queen Elizabeth in a hoodie! Oh no!
Oh Nell – I am so sorry. You would have a crown! hehehe
Cat – what I meant was if Emma’s sister was her half sister. So, Emma and her sister have the same father but different mothers. You said Jackson’s Mommys Daddy is Emma’s Daddy. But Emma and her sister (Jackson’s Mom) could have different mothers. I’m probably confusing us more! Ha!
Crown … much better.
Cindy, I am SO LOST! 😀
Cindy – I laugh so much when I read these comments.
Jackson’s Mommy is not Emma’s sister. Jackson’s Mommy’s Mommy is Chaps Sister. Jackson Mommy is Dulcinea who was born after Emma. Emma’s Mommy is Dawn’s first light and Emma’s daddy is Titan who is Jackson’s grandpa. Chaps sister only had 2 pups in her first litter if I am not mistaken.
However, Emma does have sisters from Titan and Dawn from a different litter after hers. Unrelated to Jackson
Also, what is interesting is that Jackson’s Great Grandma is Chaps Mom on the Mom’s side and Jackson’s Great Grandama is Chaps Mom and on the dads side.
Also Jackson’s Greatgrandpa is Chaps dad on the Moms side. And Jackson’s Greatgrandpa on the dad’s side is Chaps Grandpa.
I cannot believe I know all of this information and I forgot to pay my credit card bill on time last month!
Go figure!
hehehe
Kerry – I don’t know why I can’t stop laughing when I read these posts.
It is almost as bad as trying to untangle the gold chains I received as a donation awhile back.
Almost impossible.
hehehe
I’m going to need a dramamine just to follow this discussion!
Ooooooh! So cute!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I replied to your comment there, but I figured I would come over here just to cover all bases. Please feel free to use the origami basset pic here, but please just link back to me for the credit.
Here are some more of my basset-related posts if you’re interested: http://subliminalintervention.blogspot.com/search/label/basset%20hounds
I can’t stop laughing either! Cat…TMI! I’ll have to write up a new family tree to figure this out. Reminds me of when we’re in a meeting about something that is real involved and confusing. We have to draw a flow chart!
Linebreeding pedigrees — you have to see them to understand them. It has taken me 20 years to be able to “see” them in my head. And it does make you “see-sick” – LOL
LOL Sandi! I never could figure out the family tree of Chaps and Emma. I love seeing pictures of the relatives so much.
Cat
What’s cuter, sweeter, handsomer, and more beautiful than a Basset period.
Hi Dreamybee! Thanks so much! I sure will link back to you. I just love your blog. I am going to go look at your basset links now! Fun, Fun, Fun!
