Buttermilk slept good………

July 25th, 2009 - 7:07 am KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and wondering how things are going lovers! Well, everything went without a hitch. It was a real pleasure meeting everyone involved last night. I am on a tight schedule so I am just going to post a few pictures and when I get back today I post the rest.

I left my home at 1:15am and pulled into the meeting spot about 15 minute later…

How cool is this basset hauling vehicle? This next picture is totally grainy but I had to over expose it to try to show you how they arrived.

This is Buttermilk on the right, in the back……

She is definitely not deaf. My Mom and Dad did a test on her this morning while she was eating a small amount. That was really good news.

I am going to end this adventure for the moment because I need to load the car and get going but I wanted all of my dear readers to know what was going on and how good Buttermilk did. I have a few stories and many more pictures to follow.

Oh, and by the way, I am wearing my All Basset Cherished Shirt today in honor of ABC!

More honoring later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

I think its wonderful what you all are doing for Buttermilk and the others. I hope and pray that the transport went smooth as “Buttermilk”.
She is such a pretty girl too. Thanks Cat.

I have tears running down my face from seeing that van. That is the coolest thing! Georgia rescue seems to have their stuff together that’s for sure. This is such a great thing to follow. It just melts my heart. Well, your on the road right now. Can’t wait to hear about the rest of your adventure! And I’m soooo very glad that Buttermilk is not deaf. I was worried about that. She was probably just so very tired and once she got in to a comfortable setting where she knew it was safe to sleep she conked out hard. I’m so excited for Buttermilk and Marilyn is a wonderful person!

So glad to hear the updates and see the pictures. Will check back later for the rest of the story.

Georgia Basset Rescue is one of the best in the country. I love that van! How cool to open it up and see all those sleepy hounds!

Thanks Cat for all you are doing to help Buttermilk get safely to Marilyn. Buttermilk may be a bit confused and exhausted right now, but she will soon see that she has hit the jackpot for her retirement home!

Hi guys, it was really cool. I was blown away by that van and how GABR and other rescues work together. It was really pawsome. That van is LARGE! I was very impressed.
