Chaps and his favorite toy!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and favorite toy lovers! Well, a few days ago I washed all of the toys that the kids have. I think they have about 80 of them. I never wash them in soap, because I am afraid that the soap might not rinse out of all of the inner reaches of the toy, so I wash them in hot water with a tablespoon of Baking Soda, twice. It works great. Plus, Emma is allergic to detergent. Anyway, I know the Mayor has a favorite toy that he just loves. He plays with it everyday. So, I make sure that the one he loves is always where he can see it. So, when I was laying the toys out I just dumped them in a big pile and forgot to give him his favorite. When I went back in to check on him this is what I saw…..
It was like he was telling me, “thank-you Mommy”.
Chaps favorite toy is a super soft bunny rabbit that his son sent him for his birthday a few years ago. Thank-you Colby Chaps……
The Mayor likes to nibble on his toys. He can nibble for what see like forever. I am so glad he has toys. He likes to smell all of them and kick them around a bit, but he always grabs his favorite to enjoy……

No he does not share and he actually would turn angry if she tried to get his toy. She knows better and gives that one a very wide birth. Emma does not have a favorite. She loves them all. Just not that super soft bunny. “PAWS OFF”! hehe

Well, I think the look on the Mayor’s face is saying “what does she always do with all my drool and good smells that I leave on my bunny? Now I gotta start all over again!”
We had a hound Paddington that ate the squeeky out of every toy he got. hmm…. he did talk funny after that too…
We don’t have any favorite toys because Lulu eats and digests them all! We do have a piece of rope that Lulu and Brutus will play tug of war with. Watching my seeing-eye dog play with my Blind dog tugs at my heart strings! I love Chaps’ cheeks, I wish I could hug him!

Bumper and Abby do not ike toys only chew sticks and pig ears. Before we had our bassets we had 3 Old English Sheepdogs ( yes all 3 at the same time) this is what happened after we bred Buffy and she had 13 puppies. Anyway Brandy had a favorite toy – it was a pink bunny that we gave her when her brother Spot passed away. She loved that toy and we even buried it with her when she died. We still talk about “pink bunny”.
