Basset Hound Club of America National Specialty Show Best in Futurity Judging
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and wanting to see some hounds run around the ring lovers!
This is about a 20 minute video that goes through about 8 hounds I think. OMG, I am pretty sure Ch Sasquatch Double Exposure has the longest ears I have ever seen! OMG! I am pretty sure he is the 3rd hound. Just amazing.
The 4th hound is called Fascination of BoBac. That is Sharon Nance, the one who bred Emma.
The 5th hound cracks me up. Topsfield-Sanchu Google of Cloverhill. Gosh, you just gotta love a basset hound. Look at that tail go!
Look how pretty Keepsake’s Classic Free Spirt is, hound number 7. I love this hound. I want this hound. She is such a pretty girl! Look at that face!
Before this video ends I am going to pick my favorites and see how my judging skills are!
This is fun!
OK, I am a bit confused by the end line up. I counted 8 hounds but I don’t recall seeing them all. Anyway I am going to go by the end line up and make my top three picks.
Third place: The hound that is second to the end, in front of Sharon Nance.
Second place: Mr. Long ears,
First place: Keepsakes Classic Free Spirit. The hound I want.
The music is kind of funny with the hounds marching around.

OK – My top pick looks like number 2.
More videos later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
I couldn’t tell what place but looks like your hound won! Looks like 2 that you picked won. Man Cat, your good! Butt, we all know the real reason you watched this video. Hehehehehe…
Cindy – I got confused but I know that big girl with all the freckles got second place. I think I only picked one winner.
LOL about the “real reason”! I was in heaven!
hehehe
Wonder if BoBac Fascination is related at all to Emma. Seems to have same qualities. May just be they are breeding for that type.
Also, the winner FT Merril Topsfield Yahoo had his full sister to compete against Topsfield-Sanchu Google of Cloverhill.
I also liked Keepsakes Classic Free Spirit. Just love those freckles!
Mary – I am sure there is some relationship. Richard and Sharon breed very close. If I look at it again and see the Mom and Dad I could figure it out. Richard and Sharon breed for that look. Most of their hounds are red and white. That is interesting about the brother and sister. I saw they were both from Topsfield.

Wow! They are all so nice. I’m glad that I don’t judge, it would take me forever. But the one sure does look alot like your Emma.
I wonder if showing and competing is stressful for the dog?
Maureen, I am sure it is for some dogs. Some seem to like all of the extra attention they are getting. I am sure it’s all in what they get used to. I would think a fair amount of show dogs have done it since pups. I only have experience with BoBac and I know that they only keep puppies that they can show. If the puppies they keep for show don’t do well they re-home them. They also re-home the older ones after they finish them and they are done breeding. They also keep a few house dogs.

Thank you for putting this video on your blog Cat. What a treat to my basset loving senses! I thought Free Spirit would place and did! All those tails were creating quite the breeze! LOL
