Grilling out on 11-15-09??????

November 15th, 2009 - 9:09 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and grilling out lovers! It is just so odd that on 11-15-09 the neighbors are grilling out! It is just kind of weird that anyone grills out in the middle of November.

Anyway, today was really warm, reaching 68 degrees. I could not drag Chaps off of the back deck. I try to keep the kids away from the bottom area when folks are grilling next door. Howl ever our neighbors on the right had a howling audience tonight….The Mayor!

The Mayor watched the party for hours. I could not move him inside. He howled a few times. But for the most part he just watched…..and smelled.

More grilling out later……..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

P.S. please don’t feel sorry for the Mayor. I made sure he got a chicken finger. He was thrilled.

I’ve never known a basset hound that ever learned the rule “it’s not polite to stare” – especially when meat is involved! You never know when someone might just accidentally drop something (over the fence)!

    Hang in there Mr. Mayor.

    (I didn’t know chickens had fingers!) 😀

I think since Chaps is the Mayor it is his obligation to attend any and all social events in the area. After all it would be such a HUGE honor to have such an important government official attending any gathering.

I agree, the Mayor needs to attend these social engagements>

I agree with Maureen. The Mayor should be invited to every cookout in the neighborhood. Honoring your neighbors with his presence is the Mayor’s duty!
