Farewell 2009 and Welcome 2010!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and looking forward to 2010 lovers…..
Well, today is the last day of our 2009. I wonder howl many homeless basset hounds were saved in 2009. That would be a fun stat to know.
What is everyone doing for New Years Eve? Here in basset hound town we will ring in the new year with our beloved Julian. We have rang in many New Years together and we always have a blast. The kids absolutely love it. We have the best party ever!
We wish all of our residents a safe and happy new year. We cannot wait to see what unfolds in basset hound town in 2010.
More looking forward later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Happy New Year Julian, Grandma, Grandpa, Cat, Chaps, and Emma!
Hugs from everyone at our house!
I saw a great line this week:
“An optimist stays up to ring in the New Year. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old one leaves.”
Happy New Year to everyone. May God Bless us all with “Peace, Joy and Love” in the coming year. May all the troops who defend us to the end come home safely to their families.
Hi, Cat, Julian, handsome Chaps and lovely Emma! Wishing you all, and everyone in Town, a happy new year ahead:)!
New Year’s Day: Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.

Well, I just counted on the BBRofTX “successful adoptions” page and looks like they adopted out at least 132 hounds. There may be more that they haven’t put in there yet. A lot of puppies this year.
We’re taking a 3 hour trip to my brother in laws this year in the middle of nowhere in Texas. We’ll spend the nite and drive home tomorrow. Can’t wait!
Everybody have a safe and fun New Years Eve!
happy happy new year! da mayor, miss emma. cat, julian, grandma & da grandpa!
we here at da chateau partake in our usual NYE festivity..basically it involves trolling thru the supermarket and grabbing what ever says”take me home” and diets, dr’s, and your mother’s voice in your head be damned.
it a night of junk food gorging. it’s not a pretty sight…not for the weak of heart or eyes but fun.
usually we are all sound asleep way before the ball drops.
2009 was both good and bad for me..but i learne dalot about myself…here’s hoping the same continues for 2010 and also that somehow i get those lottery numbers and one of those BIG CARDBOARD CHECKS too!!!!
We never make it until the ball drops either. Emma hits the hay about 9:00. Chaps will be up until Julian goes to bed about 10:00ish and then I turn in shortly there after. We might have to ring the bell early! Also, I get my camera back today! Wow – I don’t think I will ever do that again. I cannot wait to take pictures of the new years eve kids!

Happy New Year to all of you. I would like to know what some of the Bassets here have resolved for New Year’s 2010.
Maureen – we never make resolutions. I think we will just keep on keepin on. The reason we don’t make them is because we always forget what they were! It’s heck getting old! LOL
Cat
I resolve to have some of that non alchaholic bubbly juice that substitutes as champagne around here! Watch a few favorite movies and curl up by the fireplace with those I love and all the Masterpieces! I hope the New Year brings an end to animal cruelty and all hounds find a forever home . That is my hope, that people become more kind. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!! Debbie and the Masterpiece Bassets
Happy New Year! We will be spending the evening away from our puppers at Fess Parker’s in Santa Barbara. They have pet friendly rooms but were all sold out. They even have Pet Menus for In-room dining. Next time hounds, next time….
Happy New Year from West Central Ohio and wishing I was with the Fam in KY to you dear Cat and your family…..2 & 4 legs as wella s the rest of Basset Hound Town! I WILL be in the Bubbly later and offering a toast to all that 201O is safe, happy, properous, and excellent for rescues and Seniors!
Wow – the wishes are pouring in and I am so happy to hear from so many of you….
I will toast to many bassets as well as other K9s rescued in 2010. We can do it!

Happy New Year to the first family of Bassethound town and all its’ residents. Today was a full workday for me and with the holiday, everyone wanting 16 hours of work done in 8, Bailey and I are tired. Plus, here is southeastern Wisconsin, it is cold. So, we will spend the evening catching up on programs I DVR’d I consider it a success if I stay up to see the ball drop in Times Square.
I am not sorry to see this year and decade end. Looking forward to 2010.
Bailey and I will see you all next year!!
