Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Lena Looking Good Lovers! Well, I just got back from the pet store to pick Lena out a new collar, leash, and harness. I was also in the market for a coat but the dang thing did not fit her. Anyway, I had visions of bright pink everything dripping with rhinestones. I wanted some serious bling for our girl. Come on…..she had to show off her American style to the folks of Canada. My plans were dashed when I saw the selection. Not much at all. I took my time and frustrated over every possible combination of the 4 pieces and finally came up with a real look! I felt like a stylist!!!!

The only harness that I could find in her size was black. Can you believe that? I know that the color black makes a girl look a bit thinner, but we certainly did not need that fashion tip for our girl. Regardless, I had to go with black. So, I pared it with the cute black and bone matching collar and leash to complete the look!

Then Dr. Doan helped us put all three of her tags on. The home made one that I did. It is that pink circle. It has her name on it. I make it with construction paper and then laminated it. It worked really good if you need to make a temporary tag for traveling. Then he put on the Home again chip tag and her Rabies tag.

I always notice a difference when homeless hounds get collars and harnesses. They seem to stand a bit taller.

Then it was time for a test drive!!!!!

Her new look fit her like a glove! She could have walked down any red carpet but we did just fine on the pavement!

OK, transport folks our Lena is ready and raring to go. All of her papers are in order.
