Set in the early 1960s, this sensitive comedy-drama stars Whoopi Goldberg as a feisty housekeeper-nanny hired by a widowed ad jingle writer (Ray Liotta) to care for his 7-year-old daughter (Tina Majorino), who has been unable to speak since her mother’s death. Goldberg uses her magical personality to help the young girl speak again and draw Liotta out of his sadness. 115 min

Some say this flick is loosely based on Carol King……

This is a movie I just LOVE. I hope you enjoy it as well. There are so many layers to this flick.

Two of my favorite musical artists define this movie. Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach.

Oh, you have to rent it. Do yourself a favor!

Burt Bacharach is a genus.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and movie pick lovers!

I have added a new sub blog category called CAT’S MOVIE PICS! You can find it under the blog and sub blog category to the right. This is where I will be adding my favorite movie picks! If you want, click on that listing to see my new header!

You will have to rent them however you do. This category will be my suggestions for your movie picks when you are deciding what to rent or buy OnDemand.

This is a place I can tell everyone what my favorite movies are. It really has nothing to do with basset hounds per se. Just that for the most part our hounds will be on the couch next to us as we nestle in for a good flick.

I know my hounds love a good movie and I am a huge movie fan/critic. I will be adding movies and my comments about them. I cannot wait to hear what you think.
Some like it hot is in my top five. The hounds and I are actually going to watch it again tonight. I have it on DVD.
